If you didn't get a chance to see the videos with Dan that I posted last week in the OPN challenge go take a look. He does a nice job with explaining vocabulary and where perspective came from.
Perspective drawing has been one of my favorite ways to draw since I learned it many years ago. This is the unit I would have been doing with 6th graders this month if we were all together. 7th graders might remember this from last year and I welcome you back to some fun drawing. In all my years of art making I have never been bored while drawing in perspective. If you didn't get a chance to see the videos with Dan that I posted last week in the OPN challenge go take a look. He does a nice job with explaining vocabulary and where perspective came from. Below is what I teach in class broken down into videos that are just over 1 minute. You can watch them all in order or skip around a little based on what you want to draw. Practice this week is just setting up and adding details to the room. In the next series I will show you how to add furniture. Advice before you start.... DRAW LIGHTLY! You will erase a lot!
